Rod A. Vujovic, J.D., LL.M.
Attorney at Law
Rod
Vujovic is a graduate of DePaul University College
of Law in Chicago, where he received his law degree
(J.D.) in 1996, and a Masters of Laws degree (LL.M.)
in Health Law in 2001. His legal background has
primarily been concentrated in the field of consumer
bankruptcy law, including working as an attorney for
the Midwest's largest consumer bankruptcy firm, as
well as a Chicago area general practice firm
handling cases in consumer bankruptcy law, family
law, real estate law, and estate planning.
Rod received his Bachelor of Science degree in
Criminal Justice, with a minor in Psychology, from
Appalachian State University in 1993, where he was a
Dean's List student. He also has Associates degrees
in Criminal Justice and Accounting. Rod is licensed
to practice law in North Carolina, Illinois, and
Iowa. He is a member of the North Carolina Bar
Association Bankruptcy Law Section, the National
Association of Consumer Bankruptcy Attorneys (NACBA),
and the American Bankruptcy Institute.
In addition to his experience in bankruptcy law, Rod
has over 20 years of professional experience in
broadcasting. He has worked as a radio announcer,
using the radio name "Rod Allen", at radio stations
in Lenoir, Hickory, and Charlotte, North Carolina.
While in law school, he worked as an on-air
personality for WLS-FM / ABC Radio in Chicago, the
nation's third-largest market.
In addition to helping you escape the pressures of
excessive debt, Rod’s goal is to help you understand
the legal process and make your transition to a
fresh financial start as trouble-free as possible.

Glenda Knowles
North Carolina State Bar Certified Paralegal /
Office Manager
Glenda
Knowles is a Paralegal Certified by the North
Carolina State Bar Board of Paralegal Certification.
She loves working with our clients and receives
praise for her compassion and understanding while
helping them through an emotional time. She is also
our office manager and staff accountant.
Glenda worked in Law Enforcement for several years
after earning a degree in Criminal Justice, gaining
valuable public relations skills while becoming
familiar with the legal system. She later managed
her own construction company which became a
federally recognized woman-owned enterprise. She was
involved in accounting, contract negotiation, human
resources, and advertising in addition to managing
other areas of the business. Glenda returned to
college for an accounting degree to add to her 20
years of business management experience before
joining Rod's staff in the Boone, NC office. She
utilizes her skills to keep our offices operating
efficiently.
She enjoys watching NASCAR racing and spending time
with friends and family. |

Wilma Oxford
North Carolina State Bar Certified Paralegal
Wilma
Oxford is a Paralegal Certified by the North
Carolina State Bar Board of Paralegal Certification,
and she may be one of your first contacts when you
call our Hickory office. Wilma is extremely
energetic and works hard to make sure you have the
very best experience with our office. She enjoys
helping people out of tough situations, and she is
very skilled at preparing bankruptcy petitions.
Prior to coming to work at our firm, Wilma's office
management experience came from years of overseeing
resident care at a nursing home. But some of her
most important experience came from her tenure as a
stay-at-home mom, raising her twin boys, Joshua and
Zachary and working as a substitute teacher at the
twins’ elementary school.
Wilma's favorite activities are sharing time with
her husband and sons with family trips to the
mountains, sports, and especially her sons’ football
games. |

Teri
Smith
Teri Smith is a recent graduate from Appalachian
State University with a Bachelor of Science in
Criminal Justice. She is currently enrolled in
Caldwell Community College’s paralegal studies
program.
Teri’s unbounded energy and outgoing personality
ensure that your journey through the bankruptcy
process will be as painless as possible. She uses
the investigative talents gained through her
criminal justice studies to pull together all the
information needed for your petition.
Teri enjoys spending time outdoors hiking on the
Parkway and spending time with her family and
friends. |

Tonya
M. Burton
Legal Assistant
Tonya is proud to say that she was born and raised
in our beautiful mountain community. She has become
an important part of the Vujovic team.
Tonya’s goal is to help make your journey through
the bankruptcy process as painless as possible.
Using her excellent computer skills, she will enter
your information in a sophisticated computer program
specifically designed for bankruptcy. She plans to
continue working towards a business degree at
Appalachian State University on a part-time basis.
Tonya enjoys spending time fishing, swimming,
hiking, and spending time with family and friends.
